Access our Information Collection Webinar"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"tmpr-video l-fullwidth\">\n    <div class=\"tmpr-video__background l-wrap-semi-wide\">\n        <div class=\"tmpr-video__inner l-wrap\">\n            <div class=\"tmpr-video__inner__left\">\n                <div class=\"tmpr-video__embed\">\n                    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/P3GaT9NBGMs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen title=\"Information Collection Webinar\"><\/iframe>                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                            <div class=\"tmpr-video__inner__right\">\n                                            <div class=\"tmpr-video__title\">\n                            <h3>Global BIM Network Information Collection Webinar<\/h3>\n                        <\/div>\n                                                                <div class=\"tmpr-video__text\">\n                            <p>In this on-demand webinar, lean about the Network&#8217;s Information Collection, how it is organised and used, and how you can benefit from BIM resources within the collection.You will also learn more about the enhancement of the Information Collection as a result of the Call for Knowledge, including some key findings about the State of the Globe in relation to the digital transformation of the built environment.<\/p>                        <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n \n\n\n<p>Today, 16 March 2022, marks the launch of the Global BIM Network\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/join-us-at-our-information-collection-webinar\/\" title=\"Join us at our Information Collection Webinar\">Information Collection On-demand Webinar<\/a>\u00a0with the aim to grow public sector capacity to deliver a better, more sustainable built environment by accessing our Information Collection.\u00a0The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/information-collection\/\" title=\"Information Collection\">Information Collection<\/a>\u00a0is the knowledge base of the Global BIM Network\u2019s digital platform and it helps the members of the global built environment to share lessons learned about the introduction of digital into policy, public organisations and publically-funded infrastructure projects.\u00a0The Information Collection provides the links to downloadable resources or official websites of governmental and non-governmental organisations that are actively championing innovation in public sector construction and infrastructure projects as well as groups the shared resources under different categories, known as information pillars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adam Matthews, Chair of the Global BIM Network Steering Committee and Head of International at the Centre for Digital Built Britain, said: \u201cAs the Global BIM Network, we have created the Information\u00a0Collection knowledge base because we recognise that there was a knowledge gap for the public sector to share best practices and to understand how others are introducing BIM into their public policies and projects. Thus, we recognise that we needed to bring all of that information together into one place to allow the public sector to align and to accelerate knowledge development globally, while being inclusive of the private sector.\u201d\u00a0Richard Lane, Global BIM Network International Secretariat Team Member, said: \u201cThe Information Collection originally started with approximately 60 resources from about 8 countries. However, as a result of various activities including the Call for Knowledge, we now have a wide range of diverse submissions from different countries across the world. In fact,\u00a0we\u00a0have\u00a0a total list of 400 resources from 60 countries in the Information Collection that we have curated. It takes some time to publish all of these information resources, but we will continue to do that on an ongoing basis.\u201d\u00a0Adam Matthews also said: &#8220;We are inviting the members of the global built environment to explore the Information Collection and suggest updates or submit resources, if they see any gaps. We would also encourage other countries looking to increase the productivity of their construction industry through digital transformation to join the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/about-us\/\" title=\"About Us\">Global BIM Network<\/a>.\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/about-us\/\" title=\"About Us\">The Network<\/a>\u00a0was launched in March 2021 to connect the public sector, infrastructure investors and industry to increase learning and accelerate digital change across the global construction sector.
