A key component in developing an effective Digital Twin (DT) is ensuring the right data reaches the right people at the right time. However, a challenge in the rail industry is that legacy data systems are tailored independently for specific technical requirements, creating disparate systems that do not form a solid foundation for modern digital environments. To tackle this, a detailed study in partnership with Network Rail tested a method for identifying appropriate Asset Information Requirements (AIRs), which inform the data needed throughout a project’s lifecycle\u2014from design to disposal.<\/p>\n
