A recent review shows the Network\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/information-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Information Collection<\/a> now contains more than 250 European artefacts, sharing knowledge from 35 countries in the region. Together they represent around half of all the resources in the Collection. This is a marked increase since a <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/news\/our-information-collection-region-focus-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">February 2022 summary<\/a> of European resources recorded 89 artefacts spanning 15 countries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Information Collection is the Network\u2019s fully searchable digital knowledge base. It is a rich source of shared information and inspiration for stakeholders engaged at all levels in the global built environment.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent developments from the <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/eu-bim-task-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU BIM Task Group<\/a> which brings together public sector efforts into a common and aligned European approach include a <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/eu-bim-task-group-knowledge-sharing-workshops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">series of workshops on Open BIM, Common Data Environments (CDE) and practical organisational implementation strategy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, the Collection provides access to regional BIM standardization activities through a link to the European Committee for Standardization <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/cen-technical-committee-for-bim-cen-tc-442\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(CEN) Technical Committee 442<\/a>. This details work completed and published to date and the current workplan for upcoming developments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the country level, recent developments include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Approval by Spain\u2019s Council of Ministers for <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/order-pcm-818-2023-approving-the-plan-for-incorporating-bim-in-public-procurement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PlanBIM for implementing building information modelling in public procurement<\/a>. This enables the gradual introduction of mandatory BIM requirements from 2024.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In Italy, an updated <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/public-contracts-code-legislative-decree-no-36-of-03-31-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Public Contracts code<\/a> (Legislative Decree no. 36) is introducing new clauses for digital information management.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hungary has published a <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/draft-public-construction-investment-law-including-bim-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Draft Public Construction Investment Law including BIM requirements<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In Ireland, the <a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/government-of-ireland-build-digital-website\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Build Digital Project<\/a> has been launched in support of Project Ireland 2040.\u202fThe Build Digital Project aims to transform the Irish construction and built environment sectors.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bulgaria\u2019s\u202f<a href=\"http:\/\/globalbim.org\/info-collection\/national-strategy-for-digital-transformation-of-the-construction-sector-2030\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Strategy for Digital Transformation of the Construction Sector 2030<\/a> highlights the need for a green, digital and sustainable construction ecosystem.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Global BIM Network\u2019s Information Collection enables individuals and organizations to gain a better view of BIM processes and practices around the world. Among other parameters, filters enable searches by region and country.
