During April and May 2020, Planbim produced six webinars about different Digital Transformation and BIM topics. Some of the topics included were: Digital leadership, BIM’s ISO Standards, and how to use the BIM Standard for Public Projects, among others. The sessions are available on Planbim’s YouTube Channel, attracting more than 12.700 views.
Mibim is an open, self-assessment web platform to measure the BIM maturity level of an organization. The core pillars of the BIM implementation considered in Mibim are: Strategy, Processes, People, and Technology. At the end of the evaluation, the platform provides a report with key findings and recommendations.
e+bim is a project that seeks to train students of Technical Professional high schools (Educaciãn Media Tãcnico Professional or EMTP) in BIM, and allows them to have their first work experience through an internship period in AECO companies that work with BIM methodology. The initiative is led by the Ministry of Education and Planbim, and supported by private organizations, educational foundations and several AECO companies.
Introduction to BIM Methodology is an open, free of charge and asynchronous e-learning course that allows participants to acquire BIM methodology-based knowledge, and to develop the skills required to understand and apply the BIM Standard for Public Projects. This initiative was developed by Planbim, and funded by Corfo (Chilean Economic Development Agency) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The association Odborná rada pro BIM, z. s. was founded in 2011 and is an independent private sector platform for the popularization, cooperation, standardization and development of BIM in the Czech Republic.

JTC CleanTech Two (CT2B) @ CleanTech Park
JTC CleanTech Two (CT2B) is a state-of-the-art tech park configured to support research, as well as testing and developing activities, while housing cleantech incubation facilities. CT2B’s process was facilitated by a ‘4-stage digitalised’ approach through Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) geared towards design and construction.
Tuas Port
The upcoming Tuas Port will be developed in four phases, with the first phase slated to start in 2021. Tuas Port has adopted an IDD approach, working with advanced info-communication technologies and smart technologies to keep stakeholders aligned with processes throughout all phases of port operations through one source.
Empresa de Desarrollo Urbano de MedellÃn (EDU) is a public-private urban development company geared towards improving living standards for local residents.This is made possible within sectors such as housing, through designs enabled by BIM. Out of a team of 150 members, 47 of EDU’s staff work regularly with BIM. As such, EDU are a project developer and management entity that centralizes and develops urban and architectonic projects.
The ABV project began in July 2016, using BIM to reverse-engineer the construction of 30 social housing units in La Rochelle and compare the process (from programming to production phase) to the original process, done without BIM.
CAPECO is the Peruvian Chamber of Construction, established in 1958 to represent companies and individuals working in the building industry. It promotes quality standards, safety and ethical construction practices to improve living conditions and increase competitiveness in international markets.
It offers news, information, support of innovative initiatives and a calendar of events at national and regional level. It is member of the Inter-American Federation of the Construction Industry (FIIC), which includes national chambers of the construction industry from 18 countries in Latin America.
