EBRD strategic priorities in Azerbaijan 2025-2030: Foster greater economic diversification through stronger more competitive inclusive private sector and improved governance; Accelerate Green Economy Transition and improve regional connectivity. Co-financed up to US$160M for construction two solar power plants combined capacity 760 MW largest renewable energy projects in Caucasus expected save over 600,000 tonnes CO2 annually. Extended first green-focused loan to local bank under SME Competitiveness and Inclusion Programme. Following Azerbaijan’s accession to E5P framework completed high-level assessment resulting in selection five projects for preliminary feasibility study. Launched Green Cities programme in Ganja with initial projects upgrade city’s solid waste management systems (€10M) and street lighting networks (€12.5M). Continue support greater diversification economy and growth private sector by providing financing and technical assistance to corporates and SMEs in non-oil and gas sector including agribusiness, TMT/digital services, manufacturing and services, infrastructure with focus enhancing exports promoting import substitution
