Only structural BIM was bidirectional during Second Avenue Subway design initially. NYCTA now demanding BIM of consultants. Tackling same challenges building sector seeing transition: BIM technology issues, process change, institutional buy-in. Contractors already onboard expecting BIM. Vision: full digital project delivery ecosystem.
