BIM Implementation Challenges Colombia 2022

December 2022 analysis: Almost 90% BIM implementation in real estate, 10% in infrastructure. Curious because first regulated are public projects (mostly infrastructure) where less progress made. Public sector: agreed National BIM Strategy transition underway, increasingly requiring BIM in tenders, still long way to go. National BIM Strategy establishes progressive transition for national projects: by 2023 35-50% of public construction projects require BIM, by 2026 100% of public projects use technology.
